Paint on chicken

This isn’t an emergency, I just didn’t know what else to post it under. One of my hens stood under the people who were painting the barn and brushed up against the barn as it was getting painted. There’s some on her neck and nome on her chest and some all over her legs. Is this anything to be concerned about? Its all dry now, and doesn’t seem to bother her much, I just don’t want it to hurt her if she preens it or anything. Any advice appreciated!

The problem isn't so much that the paint will hurt her as it's red and it will attract the attention of the others who may then peck and pull at it.
I would trim the paint off the ends of her feathers and use a damp washcloth to try to rub it off her scales. You may try to soak her feet in warm soapy water for 10 minutes first to loosen it up then rub it off.
The trimmed feathers will molt out this fall.

Sorry I had to chuckle at the red paint looks like blood— I know a bit about paint, not quite professionally. No, the dried paint will not hurt her, but being red could attract unwanted pecking. If she’ll tolerate it, you might try giving her a bath, gently rubbing off loose paint flakes. Even preening, swallowing it won’t hurt or make her sick. She’s fine.

I agree the Red is the bad part
You can also rub some oil coconut, corn etc and soften it on skin since it's hardened. That's how I get paint off of me easily. And yes just trim feathers

Yeah! Thanks so much! We trimmed the feathers! She is already VERY picked on and her back is very much exposed due to picking. We will be moving in a few weeks and I will make a seperate pen for her then so she can heal but I am unable to right now.
