Pale egg color

Just recently we’ve noticed the color of our eggs seems to be getting paler (dark brown is now lighter brown, medium brown is now light brownish pale pink) What would cause that? Is it a problem?

Eggs will tend to get lighter in color further as the season progresses. Next spring, after they have taken off for the winter, you’ll notice the eggs are darker again.

That’s funny that I noticed the same thing about mine and I was getting a little worried

Think of it as a printer running low on ink... the cartridge needs refilling!

Glad someone asked this. One egg today was barely brown at all!
