Pale goose, always sleeping

Are you in USA or where it's warm? my geese molt in June after breeding season is over. Could she be molting? What are you feeding her?

We're in KY and it's wet and cold. She's 8 months old. She's eating non GMO chick starter 18% protein with soaked wheat and non GMO corn.

You could try adding some extra protein to her diet drop the corn to a small amount so she is getting more protein for now. My female goose will eat some dog food, I buy Salmon and peas for my dogs and my birds love it. It's only used as a snack but has some good protein in it.

I'd cut the corn out completely, but that's just me. Mine get a little cracked corn in the grain mix they get as a treat, but it isn't a regular part of their diet.

They only get it as a treat as well at night when they go into their fenced area. Probably 2 Tablespoons per bird.

She seemed to be looking better, but today she has mint green stool...green in the urates. The poor girl is tucked away in a dog house tonight staying out of the wind. I don't think she's going to make it.

Have you thought of antibiotics, Baytil comes to mind. Or vet? Baytril can be ordered on line. It's broad spectrum antibiotic.

I am sorry I hope I was hoping she was going to be doing so much better.

I've thought about antibiotics, but after the stool was analyzed, we think she has organ issues that can't really be treated without serious intervention. I held her today and gave her warm water. Poor thing. She goes where the others go and sleeps while they play. Just trying to make her comfortable.

Thank you for all the help, concern, and suggestions. The geese are my favorite.
