Parakeet problem

I would gladly take him to a vet, but the only exotic vet is almost three hours away(my animal shelter doesn’t accept birds because they’re “exotic”) and I cannot make it there on time. Could I possibly find vitamins at the pet store?

U sure can..and its relatively cheap especially compared to a vet visit

Poultry nutri drench is a very good one..apply with a qtip to the edge of the beak n it will wick itself in so you don't actually aspirate the baby

He said to gently clean it with a wet qtip and repeat as necessary. Definitely get sum vitamins in him

I tried my best, but he hated it. He is a baby, and I just realized he has very tiny nostrils. My other bird has three times the size nostrils he does. I’m not sure if he has tiny ones due to the fact he is a baby, but I think that may be the problem

Yea, his nostrils will grow as he does. Did getting it off help with the sound at all? If you have vet RX (which is basically Vicks vapor rub) it wouldn't hurt to apply to that side of the beak to help him breathe. My dads asleep but he said something about antibiotics is the wee thing doesn't get better

I found out he had a breathing problem. Each time he breathes, his tail bobs up and down. He has yellow discharge coming out of his nose. He probably caught a cold when I was moving him from the store to the house

He’s such an angel and I really don’t want him becoming sicker than he is ill head to the pet store in the morning to get anything and everything I can find lol, I really hope it works. Thank you SO much for your time!! You’ve helped very very much!!
