Parker, CO?

Yep, moving there next week, let me know if you want any sound proofing advice?

I would love all sound proofing advice you can give me.

I know this is an old post. But it looks like we are moving to Parker in early April, Pinery Glen. I had heard from the renters of the house we will be buying that there seems to be a couple of people on the street that have chickens. Anyone know about Pinery Glen?

I did find this site, it is not very helpful but it is some information. http://pineryglenneighbors.com/

I am sticking to plants for my sound proofing, mostly bushes, girls are hidden in a storage shed and I built a cedar fence to surround them. I would put the bushes on the outside of any fencing because the girls will eat it if you don't and then there goes your sound proofing. My coop is rather large it is also insulated to help with the egg songs. It is good news to know there are chicken people, I think pinery glen is incorporated Parker so technically they are not allowed but I would see if I can spot the chicken neighbors and maybe speak with them about ideas for the area. Maybe try on the Colorado forum first, to keep things discreet. There are many covert chickens in Parker.

Sadly not many places have caught up with Highlands Ranch on open mindedness in this matter.

Good luck and if you ever have any questions I will try to answer.

Is there a petition to sign for allowing chickens in Parker? Can someone catch me up on what is being done? This site recommends these options:
~~1. Lobby for a change in the law 2. Attempt to acquire a personal zoning variance

Has anyone tried these?

Chickens are allowed however there is a coop must be 200ft from buildings, it was done that way because no property in the city is that large. I recently saw that disappear from the documents so I am not sure if something was done or not. After that you need to focus on the HOA's themselves. That will be where you find the most resistance. However you should know that Parker classifies domestic non predatory birds as household pets when you start the fight.

Just wanted to chime in on also living in Parker.

I'm outside the actual town though so I believe my flock is aloud. Or at least I hope so. We've got some chickens, ducks and a goose.

Urgent!!!!! There was a Turkey roaming around Stonegate and Lincoln in Parker just about half an hour ago, I went and could not find it again but will everyone keep an eye out if they are in that area. I don't know whose it is.

Hello, if you are unincorporated Parker you are fine, also no HOA.
