Quote: Well, they are like Buff, only a much richer color (thanks to autosomnal red from the Partridge). They have black in their wings and tails too.
They were just heading into bed but I got a couple of pictures out the window. The rest of them my stupid camera focused on my screen instead of the chickens.. grrr....
Peggy and DonnaDon - I was so hoping he would be a girl - NOT! Lucy was a much darker red (hence the name) but she didn't show any smut so I sold her.
If you look on Peggy's tail you can see the Smut.
Here are some earlier pictures of Desi - he is much prettier now with a bright red head and a gold neck and saddle feathers.
This is Lucy next to Peggy - you can see how much darker Lucy is.
And this is Donna-Don when he was younger.

Hello and Welcome to the Partridge Silkie thread. If we knew where you were maybe we could find somebody closer to you with an extra boy. I am in Northern California. If you, or anyone you know, has a partridge silkie rooster for sale, of good quality, please send me a pm.
Mine came from Steve Wheat. I hatched him out from hatching eggs and he was just beautiful. I'm just sick about it.
