What do the smutty buff ones look like? I'd love to see a pic. My black pullet is finally laying, so I'll set some of her eggs next time and see what that color combo brings.

Peggy and DonnaDon - I was so hoping he would be a girl - NOT! Lucy was a much darker red (hence the name) but she didn't show any smut so I sold her.

If you look on Peggy's tail you can see the Smut.

Here are some earlier pictures of Desi - he is much prettier now with a bright red head and a gold neck and saddle feathers.

Well, they are like Buff, only a much richer color (thanks to autosomnal red from the Partridge). They have black in their wings and tails too. They were just heading into bed but I got a couple of pictures out the window. The rest of them my stupid camera focused on my screen instead of the chickens.. grrr....
