Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Pics
I finally got some pictures:

Partridge silkie, is it a blue or not? What's the difference? Can anyone tell gender?

Don't know the color on this sizzle pullet. Any guesses? Its more orange than gold and the rest of the feathering is black.

Thanks!

It looks like it may end up to be blue, but they change an awful lot in the next 4 or months or so. Right now he has all of his baby fuzz and that's all going to change. I'll take a stab and say that's a little boy.Coloring isn't patterned enough on the wings to be a girl and the brightness of the neck and chest are more boyish.
That little frizzle/sizzle is very cute!!! The color would be a partridge laced, if there is such a thing, I think... Really pretty.
The last one - I don't have any idea. I know when I bred my PR roo to my golden laced polish hen I got a lot of birds in similar color. I just called it my mutt color. But it's pretty.
You have some very cute kids and should be proud to call them yours. Enjoy!!!

Are you talking about the silkie or the sizzles? I know both sizzles are because they are older and the breeder could tell. The frizzle is most likely around 3-4 months old. I hope the silkie is a pullet, I also have a smaller buff silkie, have no idea what it is! Its still so small, but has less of a poof on the head.

Well, it depends on who you talk to. The bue partridge has not got a SOP or has yet to be approved by the APA, so the birds vary GREATLY in how they look. But, in general a blue partridge has blue in place of the black on the normal partridge. Consequently they are much lighter in color. Some ride the borderline on the black to blue coloring. If you go to the American Silkie Bantam Club website there is a picture of a beautiful little blue partridge.
In some the whole understide of the bird is a very light blue with a much lighter yellowish/gold. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but without a standard to go by....

How old did you day that little Silkie in the first picture is? About 3 -4 weeks? I can show you pictures of a girl vs. boy color. I'll get out to the barn later this morning and get some pictures for you. I have some that are about the same age and you will be able to see the difference.
