The weather is a bit icky. We have rain and wind. It's no where near what 99% of the country is dealing with. This is CA for goodness sake.
But if you ask Chuck and Buck, they will assure you that leaving them outside is not humane. You might as well ditch them in Antarctica. As soon as the wind picked up, the pounded their muddy little duck bills on the back door. I opened the door to talk to them and they bolted inside like Jack Frost was biting their drake feather.
Now I have two spoiled ducks sleeping in front of the fire. Well, sleeping until they hear the wind hit the front door and they jump up thinking the boogieman is going to get them.
Seriously, I think I have the absolute most pathetic, wimpy, poor excuses for ducks, ever. But damn are they cute
