Paying it Forward...... Free Eggs Winners PG 5 Announced..

Even though I am writting my story, I nominate ryan, (I HOPE YOU PICK HIM!)

I started getting chicks last year in hope of helping with the family. I stay at home with my to little ones, and my disabled mom. My husband works two jobs and we barely see him. And even with the two jobs money is hard. My mom and husband and I live on the eggs to cut on the cost of food. my two little ones eat meals, but instead of 5 people to go food shopping it is only two.

So I am trying to build my flock so I could sell the eggs, and if anyone needed I would just give the eggs. I have given some eggs away already, but I don't seem to have enough to put a sign up to sell them.

I started to write about all our financial and health problems.....it sounded too much like whining.
There are people on here ahead of me I wish I could send eggs to. Maybe in a few months I can too.

OK, I withdraw my request and want you to give these eggs to someone WAY more deserving. I was so blessed by all that gave eggs to the FFA project. I just cannot sit here and ask for more! Give them to someone else please.

I am withdrawing. I would rather pay it forward than receive. I am going to buy my youngest son his own eggs for his own little flock. I am not going to go into our sad story because I don't want pity. We as a family enjoy everyday we have together.

When we have our first eggs I will be back here to give them away.

This is a great thread, this is the way a community is supposed to be. After lockedhearts decides and send out her eggs I have 2 shipments of 8+ clean legged black copper marans eggs I'm going to send to the next 2. Unless they'd rather have 8 chicks.
Peace,
Dave

I nominate giasmom. Her story is simular to mine. Spend as much time with your dad, you will be glad you did. I put my life aside to spend time with mine, and when he passed, I am gratefull I did.

I love giasmom story. She deserves some eggs. I moved 1200 miles away from my family, my parents, siblings and all my friends so that DH could live by his family after him being away from them for 23 years. I miss everyone terribly and wish I could have a project with my dad. Maybe I can live it vicariously through her stories.

See, I have an unending need for poultry around these parts.... not just for myself, but for my 4-H Poultry Club kiddos.

I started this Poultry Club two years ago, and have been blessed with wonderful kids (and parents!) who "eat up" any knowledge they can to improve their poultry project.
One family in particular has four kids and probably 100 birds on their farm. These kids not only know the breed and variety of each bird, they can also give you a brief history on each ones origin

Now, those are some smart, well-deserving children!

If I was the blessed recipient of these eggs, I would incubate them myself, then provide each child in this 4-H Poultry Club with a new chick! If there were not as many chicks as children, I will add some from my own birds.
Oh, I will also post pictures of the "finished project" when they get to hold their new chick for the first time

Thank you for your consideration,

I would like to nominate WiseChicks, if she would like them. Now there is someone who is totaly dedicated. Remember she hatched out the chicks in her bra? Now you gotta love hatching to do that.
