PBA(Parrot Beak Asil/Aseel) USA, Project(And Discussion Thread)

Would you mind having green eggs in the Parrot Beak line?

I wouldn't mind really, as long as I don't confuse the eggs with my green Queen, or olive Egger that also live in the coop.

But I just gotta be sure it was actually just a fluke from one of these hens, before I decide it was actually her.

Yesterday after I found that small blue/green egg, I did check the Malay girl, & her vent looked moist, & stretched like that of a chicken that lays. One reason I think it maybe her.

But it also could have just been a fluke from one of my other colored layers, laying an oddly small egg.

Since the rooster is feeling better now, I'm gonna take care of his feet, get them cleaned up, & wrapped for a bit. Make them more comfortable before I do anything else with his feet.

Pretty certain if I did the foot bath thing while we was fighting an infection it may have pushed him over the edge, which wouldn't have been good.

Splash Wheaten Malay Rooster is now starting to feel more like himself after the foot bath, & wrapping.

Okay, I do not have a green egg laying Malay. My Green Queen is starting up again, she's in the same nesting box I collected the small green/blue egg.

Got a new layer finally. Now to identify who laid it. It's either a Malay pullet, or my paint pullet.

My boy Maximus has been breeding my Splash Duckwing Malay pullet, so I need to figure out how to separate him, so he's not interfering with the project when I go to hatch eggs.

I ruled out the paint pullet, she didn't lay that egg, I checked her vent. It was a Malay that laid their first egg, now to figure out which one.

Will be preparing my incubator soon.

Still working on knocking the flock down abit.

Moved my Splash Cockerel into his adult coop yesterday. He's not happy about it.
