My weirdo is definitely a mix with my EE Rooster. Starting to get in that funky pattern, & Beard. Also a cockerel.
So will either be sold as a cheap novelty(Would look weird), eaten, or become a Pelt.

Only 1 of the new Malay eggs I collected is gonna make it to hatch this time. Funky batch this second round as 7 eggs were a mix of duds, & quitters. Hopefully this one is the Long Baby I've been wanting.

The chicks outside turn 5 weeks tomorrow.

Here's the peep at 5 weeks. Thinking boy now, but I've had pullets trick me before.

Well, this peep is now confirmed another boy. That's okay though.
That means the experiment was a success.

So in total 8 boys, & 3 girls so far between the broody chicks, & brooder chicks.

The eggs in the incubator are being incubated at higher environmental temperatures, so hopefully more girls as I have a friend who wants hens.

The peeps turn 5 weeks old tomorrow.

One big blue chick died this morning suddenly.
