peacock noises!

I think the concealed loudspeaker idea is a stroke of genius!  As long as you have the birds in the back yard law enforcement would treat any call like a barking dog.   They absolutely HATE barking dog complaint even more than the false home alarm calls that waste a good part of their time.  Those birds could call all year around.

Put a fake window air conditioner, shell only, on their side of your house and whenever you want to give them a little toot, just open the window and give them a blast.  Maybe a programmable bullhorn on a timer, that way you can be seen outside when it goes off.  Got a basement window escape?  Could hide a speaker in there and cover it so it could not be seen from above, and put a baffle above the window to bounce the sound in the right direction.  Better yet, get a radio transmitted speaker and hide it under the bushes beneath their bedroom window.  What noise?

Funny post! Great ideas!
I've also seen landscape speakers designed to look like rocks, and I think they are weather proof...you can buy them and put a few flowers around them

Donkeys are audible nearly as far as peafowl (sometimes farther), and also quite dependable in the noise department.
A house a few doors down has a donkey or donkeys. I agree they can be loud and they sure do make a funny noise.

The more peacocks you have, the noisier it will be. I have never had a ton of males, but I have visited a breeder's place during the breeding season and when one of his peacocks got to calling, most of the other peacocks would join in and call too so it did get a bit loud. Guineafowl are definitely noisy.

They may call a bit at two years old. I noticed my boys would get a bit of a voice at two, but they fully get their voice at three. Even as an adult, the males only really call frequently during the breeding season which is during the spring and summer time. The rest of the year they can be very silent. They can and will call at night, so that would give your neighbors a dose of their own medicine. I don't know how much mine call at night since I keep them at my Grandmas. Someday I will find out!

All good ideas! I have Guineas, geese, turkeys, roosters, and maybe this spring we might add a couple of goats!. I think I have more then one peacock male so as they grow will they like try to get louder then the other?

My barn being right next to my bedroom, I can tell you they are only slightly less inclined to call at night. It seems very similar to daytime, but since there are not as many other loud noises like cars, and such they tend to have less to set them off.
