Peeps in Europe!

Texas? I loved Texas! But alas, as the song says, "All my exes live in Texas" and I changed the last line to say, "that's why I live in Germany!" I hate snow only because its cold and wet. I don't like to be cold and wet in my old age. Where did you live there? I lived in Waco and drove to Ft. Hood everyday.

@Erba
I know! I had to drive my son to town at 8:30 and it was 0°! But no frost on the car windows so I was happy about that.

@Papa John59 Texas is nice enough for sure!! Nothing against Texas... but I did missed the snow. Nowadays they get more snow than we do. Pfff :barnie

We lived in Lampasas and then Copperas Cove while my husband was stationed at Ft. Hood. Small world!!! But I think just about everybody in the Army was stationed there at one point. My 2 oldest daughters were born at Darnall. Later on we moved into the Dallas area.. Irving, Richardson.
You must have some bad exes!!! :gig

@chickengr since Greece is closer than Panama, I'm on my way! You just need to find me a nice plot of land, off-grid is fine by me, and I'll be there in a week!:rolleyes: Oh and you will have to teach me Greek. ;)

you are welcome! just be ready to deal with heat, lol. there is a plot, 7000 square meters, 15000 EUR, could be on/off grid but way too hot for at least 4 months a year!

@abpatchy
You've been following me? :confused: Just one ex and that's enough! And guess where she's from? Arlington! Yeah, small world! I left Hood in ´85.

@chickengr
Hot and dry? Ok, my bags are packed! I'm thinking I would need about 200,000 square meters. Need room for all my pets, and to set up a proper off grid ranch. Only problem...sadly, I don't think my wife would allow me to come. So I can only dream about retiring to a warm location. But thanks!

@Papa John59 seems like it :eek: Came to Ft. Hood in Dec. 89. Moved to Irving in Feb. 93... moved to Germany in 2000.

Maybe you need to take a vacation in Greece with your wife and then... oh look honey... all this land for sale. And take a look at the price! And the beautiful countryside!! Think of all the chickens and rabbits and and and. LOL :gig:gig I'm sure chickengr can arrange that.

They're doing great! They were outside in the run yesterday, checking out their new digs, while the big chickens were out in the garden and I shut the gate, so they could go in and out as they liked. It's fun having three different age groups in the flock. They still really like the spa under the heat lamp though...lol
The panic hole I made in the hardware cloth wasn't small enough for top hen though, she managed to squeeze through and steal their feed, just teach them, who's boss.

Otherwise it's been peaceful in chicken land.
