Peeps in Europe!

Pics
@Erba I hope you found your sussex breeders. I went to the show in Alsfeld today. They also had a Sonderschau for bantam sussex there. But they also had the large ones. I took some pictures for you. I can also give you the info for breeders. Contact me thru facebook "Astrid Pongrac" if you wish...
The show was nice... but I was shocked that the most (I would say about 90%) of the chickens were the bantam kind. I did get to see some of my breed and I have to say... I have nice looking birds!!! :love:yesss:

It's 7°C here at the moment. They are reckoning with snow here at the 800m level. I'm only at 300m. I will be putting the black ceramic heat lamp, back in the coop this weekend. The chicks don't need it anymore. It keeps the water from freezing in there. Worked great last year, just enough to keep it above zero. But I am still waiting for the first frost. I also sectioned off a bit of the coop, so I can kick the chicks out of the house. Just have to make a panic hole in the mesh. I am still figuring out, how and where to do that.

@Papa John59 no worries... We're around 7° celcius. We haven't seen much snow at all in the last two years. Nothing over half an inch!!! We're in a very warm area in southern Hesse. Wish we would get more snow!
Glad you're keeping your feet dry :thumbsup

Well glad to hear that you all are warm and dry. We had rain for about an hour, and thankfully it stop, during which time my son and replace the tarp covering the run and now my girls have an real roof over their run! And guess what? No accidents with the bore machine! Just need to finish up so small details tomorrow, then one last clean up before the weather turns nasty, and lay down a good mixture of hemp and straw down. Does anyone else use hemp bedding?
@Erba so you are moving the chicks out. Getting to loud for you ?
@abpatchy, you can have all the snow! Just don't send it my way! I hate snow! I dream of 25°C on Christmas Day again! If the wife would be willing, I would retire, and move to Panama. But since that will never happen, I just pray for NO SNOW!
Have a nice weekend!

Oh no no no... I had enough of that in Texas! No need to have a warm Christmas! I love love love driving on snow! I love it!
I sure am glad you did not have any more accidents with the drill!! Keep it up!
Did you get in contact with the Buckeye breeder? What about the club? Any luck yet?
If not, find out who the Vorstand is and call. Does the club have a website?
