Here it's a mess. Schools are still open, but university is closed. And gatherings over 100 people are closed. We are advised to work from home and not to see our elderly.
I wonder when the government will enhance measures. I work on the market and it really is noticable that people are staying at home.

True.

Yesterday all the panicking people here plundered the stores for stupid things like toilet paper.

When I picked up a (pre ordered) loaf of bread at the bakery , they told me “ We were sold out from the normal bread at 10. It was like an invasion this morning.” So I treated myself on a ‘apple flap’. They still had plenty of the luxury bread and banquet. 😁

Schools closed here too till after Easter vacation. All events with over 100 people canceled, movie theater closed, all out of school afternoon activities canceled also. And yes people are going crazy buying all the food from stores. At least I’ll always have enough eggs

Hey for BW they have announced that all schools will be closed as of next Tuesday! Doesn't affect me, but just wanted to know if other states are also taking precautions to stop the Corona virus from spreading. I work in a clinic, so there will be no hope of me getting quarantine time off.

And the dog of the neighbour frightened one of my chickens today. She was still shivering of fear an hour later.:fl Hope she is fine again tomorrow.

Thursday I found out that VW (where I work) has cancelled all classes until June 30th. So far, we will still be working... but for how long ? Nobody knows at the moment.

And egg related.... I was supposed to get hatching eggs from Austria... they were supposed to be send today... he wrote yesterday that all post offices are closed... exept one which is 25km away, inside a grocery store and is allowed to stay open. According to the news mail will still be crossing the border... but how long will it take? They need to be in the incubator in Monday morning. I'm not upset ... just frustrated.

Maybe because I have to decide (well I already made the decision... just have to come to terms with it) that both of my roosters have to go. And probably two of my girls.
We couldn't get the immunization for cocci for the chicks... now I have to feed medicated feed... and it's not what I wanted to feed. It does not have the right amount of protein. You can't get immunization for cocci anywhere. It also means I can't feed my chicks anything else... no carrots or any other treats until they get regular feed in a few month.
Things just aren't going my way at the moment.

Well, my austrian eggs fell thru.... I cancelled. He couldn't mail them off and asked if he could mail them later while he was looking into some other mail service. I said I'm sorry.. I can't hatch eggs later... I can't breed that many chicks at different ages. I don't have the space to keep them seperate. So I'll get my money back... and I'll just put all of mine into the incubator.

Did I mention that I have close to 60 eggs collected.... no? Well, now you know.

I just bought and ordered more chicken feed. You never know what is going to happen. My feed dealer is in bavaria... so I was already worried that I can't pick up my feed.

Here almost all the shops stay open. My chicken food supplier is open too. This is never a crowded place.

I’m glad there are still people on the streets, but way less than normal during rush hour. The public transport dropped with 85%.

Ok guys what do you think, I'm still on the fence. One is definitely a pullet, but do I have a second one? Was much easier with my own flock, these pure light Sussex all have really sturdy legs, I'm not really sure about any of them now.

I think your cockerel is a cockerel.... it's hard to tell if the others are pullets.
Check their hackles... if the feathers are pointy it's a cockerel... more rounded a pullet. Same with the tailfeathers... pullets have straight shorter feathers.
