Peeps in Europe!

Its been a hard summer for many people in Europe this year. Good vibes for everyone who /who’s friends or family has lost someone or something precious.

We were lucky in the Netherlands it was not bad at all. Only, on average, a bit warmer as should.

I was able to take this picture of my Augsburger boys the other day. Hadn't planned on it. Just walked by and they were looking at me like that. Grabbed the cell phone and took this picture. They sure are pretty!

Great photo! Do apply for the POW! And for the calendar next year too if the quality is good! Maybe crop a little bit of the green.

do they all hatch with the same comb? a few years ago some of augsburgers still hatched with single combs.

yes they do. Well some are better than others... but that is with every breed.
There are acutally two kinds of Augsburger. The ones that split into a single comb and the crown comb. That is the old line.
They used some scicillian buttercups and saxony chicken to get the new line which breeds true. Most Augsburger now are the ones that breed true. There are just a couple of breeders that still breed the old line.
