Pekin duck egg day 29 HELP!!! Pleaseeeeeee!!!

Well baby number 2 in this whole deal came out of its eggs just now and it is bleeding :hit i dont have any idea how to help this baby there isnt any yoke that i seen but its bleeding i laid him on some warm wet paper towel to try to keep him from moving im offically crying now :hide

Bleeding from where? Maybe dab a little flour, if it's bad, if you don't have any of that quik stop stuff.

Oh and wet paper towels can give them a chill. A dry terry-cloth towel (wash cloth, rag) would be better.

I assume still in the incubator? Can others get to it?

im guessing from where his umbilical cord was attached to the yolk he is sleep contently since i put him on the wet towel he stopped wiggling and flopping and went to sleep and is breathing normal now so i dont know if its still bleeding or not it wasnt pouring blood but it was bloody when he pushed all the way out of his shell

yes he is still in the incubator and its only him and the other that hatched at the same time almost nither is up moving around so im not worried about them being stwpped on or anything :) should i lay him on a dry rag?

Glad he's doing ok! Just watch that the other one doesn't try to peck at the navel.

Maybe leave them be for a bit, a couple of hours, see if they get up and moving around soon.

And we need pics soon, of course. :D

Sorry, dealing with chickens...

Has it stopped?

Hope it all went well?
Did it stop bleeding?........The lady I got ducks from said to clamp the cord or use fishing line to tie it off if you can???

Cheers.....

I wouldn't recommend trying to clamp it, but I only had one with an issue like that and by the next day, it was all closed up. With 3 days, you couldn't even tell there had been an issue.

He is sitting up looking around ao i cant tell sorsure if its stopped but he is chirping more and actually sitting up looking around so im hoping thats good?
