Pekin duck leg

my Pekin ducks leg is very swollen and he doesn’t really walk on and it’s kinda just laying in the coop, which he never does. There’s not a scratch or anything on his leg that would make it seem like he got attacked by anything my only guess it that he stepped on a bee. I also felt it and it seems like nothing is broken.

How old is he ? Might it be arthritis? Have you checked the bottoms of his feet for bumblefoot ?

He’s going to be 5 months the first week of August. I’ve checked his feet but it’s just all swollen.

What are you feeding ? I would be tempted to supplement whatever feed with Niacin.

I’ve had all of my birds on layer feed but he mostly eats scratch. I have to go in and get some stuff from tractor supply, do you have any recommendations for feed and should I look for something with antibiotics?
