So I had 5 but unfortunately the runt had passed away last night. I have 4 2 1/2 week old Peking ducklings and it seems everytime they’re swimming or drinking water their throats get puffy and I can see skin. I heard it could be a possible air sac rupture but I’m not sure and wanted a second opinion.
I have some images. As you can see there is puffiness to the neck area. I hope this wasn’t the reason my other one passed.
They’re all still eating and drinking happily. I’ve been limiting the times I give them water so the puffiness goes down but it doesn’t seem to completely go down. Does anyone know what’s up?

Hey I know I’m super late to this thread - I still wanted to mention what I think it is for others having the same issues.

Over the spring I raised 4 pekin ducks and I always noticed that when they grew they had exposed skin, especially on the wings, back and neck. I’m no expert but if I had to guess that’s normal, at least for a little bit before they get their adult feathers. How are your ducks now?
