I know, right?? Is everyone over there now, and not posting here? I don't have a FB because there are just too many people I don't want to communicate with, and I find it impossible to say no. I have noticed that all of the threads slow down on the weekends though. At least I hope.

Well I did well, selling all the maran chicks and all are pending pick up 9am and I will make a wonderful profit.... I will be sorry to see the blues go : ( but I need room.

I willl have a few straglers that I cant keep but will post them when its cleaned out and not chaos in the brooders!

only trouble with pockets is I forget and crush them in my pockets!

I need to come up with a dedicated coop smock or jacket... I am usually using my old jeans jacket but hate to really 'take it out of service' because it is my go to jacket for chain saw work and log splitting because it holds up to the wear and tear so well.
The extra pocket idea is a good one, simple to add a pocket or two to a jacket.

While re-reading some old threads on another site, I saw something I think people like Sally, Mama, and Penta will be interested in. An apron with 18 mini pockets to hold eggs while you are working in the coop. You can add as many pockets as you want, obviously. I think a plastic liner would be a good idea. Make sure the pockets are deep or have a closure on them. Maybe even use yogurt cup bottoms to prevent any squishes.
It would definitely make my life easier when I am holding a full feeder and waterer. Juggling the egg basket too is a bit much.

My problem is I forget to unload my coat pockets and hang my coat up

......then surprise when I put it back on, my winter coat is heavy
