It doesn't appear that there will be wine or chocolate, so here's the plan: I'll bring a stash of Hershey's Kisses & you can pick up a 4 pack of the Zinfandel minis. We'll hide in the car having chocolate and wine with DH as a lookout. Hmmm...I may have to bring some Miller Light though, as wine goes straight to my head.
DH got into a terrible skirmish with an opposum last night. It's been lurking around the coops for a couple nights now, and last night DH saw him and had enough of it. BUT high velocity pellet guns do not kill them apparently, and it got horrible quickly. My 10 yr. old DS witnessed way too much, and I think it even scarred DH, who has never killed anything. In the end the 'possum lost, and DS slept with his lights on!DH drank quite a few beers last night,too! Thank God I didn't witness it. I will say it really showed me how much DH loves me, because the chickens are my thing, but he was gonna protect what was dear to me. Some days I really LOVE him.

Yikes! Good for your DH though! I will say my DB and Da and Loverman keep our property well guarded against raccoons and possums. Good thing ammo is cheap and they're good shots ^.^;
Yay for the barnvelders! Do it people! Also I love my peeps! All doing well, thanks so much Shelly!!
Wishing it wasn't so muddy!
Sally if I had that view I would never leave home....I travel to the cabin for that.
Beautiful!
Wow. I live in the same county and I have never heard of that town. Sounds beautiful. Is it over near Lancaster County?
