Nice ta meetcha! Fawn Grove, Southern York County, Be prepared for a busy thread lol

Thanks I'm going to need something once we get the fence up.
How many chickens do you have in that area? That's roughly the size we are going to do. Have 14 chicks and 8 ducklings now. Wont be stopping either. My husband wants 2 geese as well among other things lol.
I currently have 2 wyandottes, 3 cochins, and 6 bantams in that run. I have 2 mallard ducks, 2 pekin ducks, 4 red bourbon turkeys, and 10 chickens all under 3 months that will be added. After the youngsters grow a little I am going to weed out the ones I don't want. Plan is to have 2 turkeys, 4 ducks, and 10 chickens. Will probably end up with more than that, but that is the plan.

My SO just gave the OK to host a swap here at our house if anybody is interested. We don't have a huge property for camping, but we have plenty of room to set up lots of tables, etc. (This is a good excuse for SO to clean out the barn!!) We do have ducks and geese and I must protect my flock as well as yours, so eggs and chicks only, no adult birds. We are about 5 mins from the Lebanon/Lancaster exit of the turnpike (I am on the map in my signature). Let me know if anybody would be interested.

Pretty neat! Depending on dates (my jobs and workshops come first before chickens lol) I'd enjoy going ^^ Not sure what I'd swap lol My Loverman makes awesome art/knives; he's a farrier/blacksmith/jeweler/swordsmith haha. I'll have to start getting crafty so I'll have something to swap ^^

My wee one was sick last week, now the 7yr old soon to be 8 as in on the 12th had her appendix taken out in the wee hours on Monday and than had complications. She is out and with me.
So sorry they've been sick! Hoping they get better quickly for you!
Have a lot more going on than just them sick. It's an ugly situation otherwise I wouldn't be going back ti Williamsport quite as much.
hhmm... sorry to hear. Must have been what caused the interest in my offer to provide thug duties the other day!
My broody hatched a chick! My broody hatched s chick! (I'm excited, new to me.)

The eggs werent hers and the green ones just got laid in there today. She still managed to hatch at least one! Monday was day 21.
Congrats... there is something really awesome about watching a broody teach her little one. We had our first broody over the winter and I can't wait till we get another!
