I think I found where the critter got in. I built my run this winter when the ground was frozen. With the couple days of warm weather some of the ground under my door frame thawed and created a gap. I didn't see it until I went out a couple minutes ago and my serama roo was outside of the run. The hole will be fixed today and a trap will be set to catch the critter.

The best bait to use would be 1 of the birds it killed if you haven't already disposed of them.

Did you say the killed birds were sleeping outside? Breast meat eaten on an overnight kill is usually an owl.

My run is covered. I'm thinking skunk, opossum or raccoon. If I was feeling better I would stay up tonight with my .22. Going to have to set a trap instead.

1. Eggs do not count because you never count your chickens before they hatch.

11. Never have an odd number of chickens because no one wants to be the odd chicken out.
12. Bantams only count as 1/2 because they are small.
13. ANY ANIMAL that has a name is not counted because once you give them a name they are family, and you can not count family.

So the way I see it most of you need buy some chickens because most of what you have DO NOT COUNT.

Hmmmm, this means out of my 300+/- birds I only get to count about 10.

The only birds not named are a few of my layers & the quail (which only count as 1/8 of a birds each

I see feathered feet (more pix would be helpful) so maybe a cochin mix. Most chicks don't really "fly", they just get a few inches off the ground by jumping & flapping.

And That Is The Perfect Explanation To The Subtraction Portion of CHICKEN MATH!!!! You Very Easily Can Subtract Right Down To ZERO!
