I am wondering at what age ducklings can be sexed? Is doing it basically the same as you would a rabbit?
As I understand it you can sex day olds. However I normally wait for a few days. And yes it is very similar to how you sex a rabbit.

I went to my TSC just to peek at the fluffy butts lol. They had some ducks, buff orpingtons, cornish crosses and silver laced wyandottes. They had a tub of americanas but it was empty. I miss having a green egg layer.![]()
Can someone help me please!!! I am stumped and very upset. The past 2 days ive lost 3 hens all the same way. Both mornings I have walked into the chicken coop and found my henss dead. Their vent was freakishly wide open and all their insides are gone. Their heads are still intact but there is no sign of
struggle or anything . Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
Still waiting for the chickies...![]()
Seriously... We are 3 rims down on 2 different cars. It's getting old... And expensive! (Rant over...)
HOWDY! I'm also in Southern York County! ^^York County. Hello all!
The West York Agway just got in a bunch of pullet chicks. Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Easter Eggers and Red Sex links.
They have ads posted on the York Craigs List for each breed. http://york.craigslist.org/grd/4337775204.html
They get their chicks from Mt. Healthy. I got about 25 from them last spring and they were all pullets. They get different breeds each week and will special order for you. They don't have minimum amounts like TSC.
Anyone near York have any hatching eggs for the Easter hatch along that I can have or buy?
*sighs* I'm so glad that there are others with voices too!
*links arms* We can do it! right? RIGHT?!I went into TSC today for mealworms and 6 bales of shavings. I did NOT get any chicks. Or ducks. I will stay strong.![]()
