Bruce, Unfortunately, I can't take any boys. My boys already are too much for my girls. I will have to thin them..I know I will...I just can't right now. Need to figure out which I'll keep and which will find new homes (even if it is freezer camp)

I'm glad I could make ya'll laugh! I'm glad I didn't do it! I was holding one of the girls and turned her around just for a peek. My thoughts were, Jesus! There is no way I'm gonna stick three of my fingers in there and if I do, she is never gonna give an egg if I do! ;

Blarney, Yeah violating the girls is not on my bucket list. I am really hoping the talk works.
Wondering if your possible "new" egg is brown or beige in color,,, remember sister's egg is very light beige/pink,, and it's exceprionally long and pointed,,, and I prefer to think of her as an EE X ,, rather than NN x .....LOL

I had given up on the last nine eggs, but kept them incubating just in case.... and Low and Behold!!  Woo Hoo!!  A new chicky this morning.  Everyone's mood is lightened here this morning, funny how a baby will do that to you.

And, here is the whole motely crew:

Wow! Adorable! What a nice mix!
Haven't read the forum in days and there are a ton posts to read!

The eggs were different than each. Would her eggs be different at first since she hasn't laid in weeks since she has been here and than w/in a few days change back to the way they were?

Well, I called the dept of AG. I'm sad to say I called on the old owner who gave me my new girls. I'm just glad I went to his house so I know were to send them. He will be at the chicken swap this weekend. I HATE confrontations! What do I do? I don't want anyone else go threw what I am. I cant even afford to buy new girls and boys. I am out of meat and eggs for the winter, well at least free meat and free eggs. This is so much so fast. I wish a had the cahoonas to go up to him and smack him. or anyone for the matter. I am going to cull all my girls and save up for the spring, I hope. I pray no one else buys anymore birds off of this man. Hes not even a bad person he is so nice. But he will not admit to what it is.

Goober,
I do not know how far you are from me, but I have 2 young pullets that need a new home. Nothing is wrong with them, I just don't like their coloring. They are just a backyard mix that a friend gave me. Please let me know if you are interested. I am willing to drive a short way to meet you. My zip is 17801.

OK, so someone PM me and asked me to ask Anyone if they want my chickens before I cull. He had a good point. There are some people that do not want to bring in new flock cause there flock is already sick with Coryza. So I will save my girls for one week to see if anyone wants them to ad to there closed farm. I know it would be easier for me and the girls to know that they are not going to die. But if not, the deed will be done. So please if anyone knows of anyone that has any girls that have CORYZA and are ok with it and would like to get some more girls with the same thing and they are all about to lay maybe. Then please let me know. I feel really strange asking someone if they want sick chickens, but if I can spare them I will.
