i can get chicken pluckers from china. the same ones that cc conelly sells for around 300.00 takes a month to get. i am sure we can get a better discount if we order more.. these pluckers do turkeys as well. i will check into the laws. if not we can use a butcher. we will find one within driving distance to each other and do them all at once.there is a class that you can take to become certified in butchering.
Bantam and don't you worry when I have chicks you will be one of the first on my list.. Ps these are really nice quality birds too
) of and it is a trio so no looking for a roo for me sooo excited for these birds... Ahhhh 
Oh and mama she said they are laying and she is setting some of there eggs now so now my mom wants to set eggs once they are here...

Okay, so at Sally's suggestion, I've decided to take apart the broken coop and yesterday I finally got the umph to get motivated on this brooder. LOL! Since I don't know approx. how big I should make it, especially since I think I may end up breeding babies eventually, I think I made it big. LOL! I just measured it, and It's 74'X34" LOL! I am going to buy chicken wire and put it in the 2 holes on the sides of the door. I have 2 heat lamps that are clip on. So 1 will go where the overhang is, and the other where the food will be. All my materials were free obviously!! LOL!! I am happy I was able to salvage so much from that coop. I'm happy now my old coop is going to eventually house the babies. I am going to restain it, and make it look prettier..LOL! Right now to me and all my OCD-ness, looking at this is driving me crazy! LOL!! This is big enough for 11 babies, right? With this size how many babies do you think I can fit before moving them into the coop? Any other suggestions about my brooder would be awesome. Thanks guys!

UPDATE!!! All the Eggs HATCHED and are all fluffed up and happy peepers!! At least something is going right here!Good news! 5 black BCM x Comets and 1 Yellow chirping and getting more energy! resting alot yet! CHAD look at those two in the back!!!! already fluffin up!

he popped out but was sorta weird stuck sideways and his head somehow was back in the shell!
IF you notice how LARGE he is..... his back hardly has feathers, I will assume from reading the notes in the
hatching 101 article that he is a result of HIGH HUMIDITY, which makes sence from being in lockdown with all those others for so many extra days...
so after giving that guy a big of help righting himself, I took out the remaining unpipped egg, dont ask my why, my gut told me to is all I can tell you, no other reason...... I candled and his air cell was the size of a DIME, yes DIME!!!
I assumed he was either dead or going to die because there was NO NO NO Way he could possibly move in that space that big!
So I marked the candle lines on the shell and started zipping real small along that line, then I saw for sure he was HUGE!!! filling the entire egg!!! you can kinda see in the picture. So I new I had to try to find his beak, which I have learned that TYPICALLY the beak will be found at the lower dip of the air cell, so I wet with just a drop of warm water so I could see through the membrane and there it was!! I cleaned the membrane off his beak with a tweezers and he started breathing, I dont expect the poor thing to live, but I at least had to give him a chance. I went down to check on them again and wet some more because he moved and I wanted to make sure his beak stayed clear
I dont want to freak and hang down there and then get upset, its best to let them do their thing and give them time, lotsa time when u help.... he did give me a drop of blood : ( so I stopped after I chipped the top of the shell off a tad more so that he can get out when he is ready, I sure wish I wasnt lazy, I should have ran upstairs for the camera during the candle!
But I honestly thought it was a gonner......
BOY DOES THAT SOUND LIKE I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON OR WHAT?????????
NOTE: these eggs were tossed around and run apon by all those 20+ chicks so they were really dirty!
So MAYBE we will see yet ANOTHER MIRACLE Chick!!
And so many people say dont help, I wouldnt have half that I hatched if I didnt help!
But Thank goodness I only had 1 and a half lol to help with allllll these eggs!!!
so yes.... there are 25+ new peeps chirpin down there!
REMEMBER these are Chads, from the chickens that a neighbors dog killed!
If he wants them he can have them in a few days after I make sure they will make it!
I would love to keep a hen, can you tell male from female of these breeds when chicks?????
IT was Momma's turn in the Hospital this time, however I HAD to get home to see my babies go..... so I refused admission....(the puppies went to their homes today) cry cry
I was/still am a terrible mess, but beginning to feel better on all the new medications for my lungs and my blood Pressure which averaged 189/128. NO WONDER I had headache after headache and couldnt climb a flight of stairs!!
I will be following up with my doctor for the BP and pulminary function testing.

I FINALLY noticed what your talking about!!! duhhhh so observant, I assume thats on all threads?LOL Well there is always guests looking at this thread...............might as well encourage them to join....I should have mentioned most don't bite here.......A bunch of hens talking about their chicks...and a few crazy ole turkeys Come share. Would that be better?
