x3...I would worry that anyone that rude and ungrateful might sue over something stupid (the tree for example). I don't know that I would even say anything to her...just go help out the folks who were appreciative. If she asks why she got skipped, politely explain that she seemed so unhappy with hubbies previous services that you guys just assumed she no longer wanted them.
I agree- if she is warning your hubby that he is not doing an "acceptable" job, then she might just be viewing it as property damage.
She'll have to learn the hard way to be grateful. (By paying someone.)
