People of NC...

Yup, I was told normally, it would be no issue, but this is the first in years that we need chains. How fortunate for me! haha I only have a 2 wheel drive. Getting ready to buy a 4wd and I figure then Winter will go away.

I am glad the mountains are having snow... sending my oldest daughter for her first trip away from home with her school and they are going skiing this weekend!
I can handle the rain today. Tomorrow they are going to start putting in my fence so this should make it easier.

Grr.... more rains and heavy winds have started I see. It was decent out shortly ago so I went to moving plants to the greenhouse. I also have a rose and tree waiting to get planted. They can't handle this moist wet marsh of my yard!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

Well, we wound up with just a few sprinkles today (while I was out in the chicken run, of course) but the wind has been bad. It brought down part of the bird netting once again, which is why I had to be in the run when it started sprinkling.

Hey vfem, did F-V miss out on the rain too?

Here we go again. I think we have 2-3" right now. Supposed to get up to 6".

Wow, what area are you in, asher? I'm central, near Raleigh. The snow turned to rain hours ago. Darn it, I'd rather see those big flakes that weren't doing any harm than rain.

Foothills, half way between Asheville & Hickory. It's finally slowing down a little to smaller flakes.

Hoping it sticks around until morning so we can go sledding, but then it is welcome to melt...preferably quickly so I don't have to work in it this weekend. Crazy that it's supposed to be almost 60* here this weekend! haha
