pepper in food

If it reduces parasite load, what is the problem? You can do a Google search if you'd like to find a studies. I am simply offering suggestions that have worked for me and my birds.

"If " is the middle word in life. That can be a problem when it comes to curing disease, and whether life is sustained or not. You claimed pumpkin seeds and castor oil are a "dewormer". I merely asked if you could provide something scientifically substantial to prove that. Then you mention Google. You might want to consider the outside environment/climate may be the reason you never see worms, and that pumpkin seed and castor oil have nothing to do with it. Many people on this forum can attest to parasitic worms being abundant in temperate or more humid climates as opposed to more arid climates. If you can't provide any trial records proving pumpkin seeds and castor oil are a dewormer from any College station in the United States, or anywhere else, just say so. Personal websites, opinions, and blogs don't get a pass.

What I use is dieatamatios earth, which you can probably find at any local farm store, it's made of dead and crushed diatoms and it will cut up most any worms etc. that they may get, it works for other animals as well, even people(just be sure to get food-grade).
DE will not prevent nor treat worms. DE is useless when wet and only effective when it is dry. The inside of the chickens guts are wet where DE has no effect.

Look, I have butchered my birds and examined their carcasses and I found not one parasite.

What I am doing with my flock works. What that person did with their birds didn't work.

I will continue doing what I am doing as long as I Dont have any problems. I will also share my experiences with others who ask.
Try vertically slicing open the intestines.

I did cut them open. That's how I know they were clear.

I've worked in dog rescue for around 10 years and understand the importance of minimizing parasite load.

Just because you don't have worms in your chickens does not mean your treatments are doing anything. If you don't have worms you could say scratch is a wormer.

ABSOLUTELY! :thumbsup Why do folks doubt that? Need proof? Throw some in water then pick it up. Cooked oatmeal now has sharper edges. Still doubt? Do a before and after under a microscope.

However, putting it in feed does have nutritional benefit.

Excellent. Then you also know that dogs must be wormed chemically.

I'll bite.

I use products from Amber Technology that have worked well for me. My vet is satisfied with my animals' health.

You are aware that water is a chemical?

Check out the Herbal Handbook for Farm and Stable and The Herbal Handbook for Dogs and Cats both by Juliette Do Bairacli Levy for more info on using herbal dewormers. Her GI disease treatment has saved many puppies that came through the shelter here. Her dewormer protocol is basically what I follow.

More than one way to skin a cat....

From the site:http://ambertech.com/about-us/

About Amber Technology

"Amber Technology came to life in 1996 under some very interesting circumstances. My name is Cindy Van Komen, one of the owners of Amber Technology LLC. My mother, Pat Griffiths, and I started Amber Technology to provide a way for us to earn an income and yet remain at home where we could take care of our families. We originally intended the company to sell office supplies and computer parts. In fact, we had already obtained our business license and contacts to do so. But it was then that fate intervened.
My daughter’s puppy came down with Parvo, a viral disease that is usually fatal to dogs. We took little Simba to the vet where we were told he would die. My daughter could not accept this fate and pleaded with my mother to create an herbal solution that might save him. My mother had, over the years, developed quite an ability in the area of herbal treatments. Pat could not deny this request of her granddaughter and set out to create an herbal remedy that might help."

I wonder if it ever occurred to this person that Parvo vaccinations have prevented problems for many years and is generally given at 3-4 weeks of age as a booster and again at 20 weeks. The ***** not being current on vaccinations doesn't help either.

I call BS on this site. If their main reason is to earn a living from home as an LLC (limited liability) company selling office supplies and computer parts, why would I trust them with medicinal information? Qualifications? I don't see it. Lots of scams going these days. I'd avoid this like the plague.
