I did agility training with my German Shepherd and was getting ready to compete, had his AKC jump card and everything, then the virus shut all of it down. He wasn’t the fastest of the group but he was precise and he loved all of the obstacles, in fact if he was set free he would do his own free style course. I did show him in a conformation show in UKC and he did extremely well, earned half of his championship points and we never took classes.. I did a lot of forum asking (lol) and YouTube watching. I would love to do it again and get his title! I guess life just happened and I never got around to getting involved again, which I regret. I also took him to a dock diving event as he loves to swim. Key word “swim” even with encouragement from another dog to jump he wouldn’t and instead would take the exit ramp to go retrieve his toy.

Oh he is so handsome!

We went armed with string cheese and his e collar lmaoooo but didn’t see anybody. I did have to correct him once when he was absolutely PLANTED and refused to budge an inch. LOL so glad I had the collar plus for just in case we DID see dogs LOL

We are going to seriously work on this lol

Also might take him on the super long walk tonight but maybe not as it is VERY hot. Maybe just the short walk and do the longer one when it cools off later this week.

Last night we had our 4h dog show. I had entered Tucker in just obedience and JTT agility. He did okay in agility he ran the whole course well just after the last tunnel i couldnt grab his leash in time and he ran to the fence and started barking.. Agility he got a first, im suprised. Then in obedience He was doing really well then a little girl started running her hand along the fence and i know the judge saw it. But he stayed in a down for 3 minutes and in a sit for 30 seconds(because of the girl). I was going to do him in tunnelers but i wasnt feeling right at the way end and wasnt risking my health.
Then Denver did showmanship, obedience and standard agility. She got a first in standard agility out of the group, a second in showmanship then a third in obedience, she wouldnt do the long sit or long down.she was done at that point.but she did get to dress up as a cow for the costume contest
