The Svart Hona are proving extremely hard to hatch... so far 1 live chick out of lots of eggs. I am not sure what the issue is but I did candle all the eggs that have not hatched... all the infertile were the SH, but most started but failed to develop and I do believe it was damage from shipping. I did rest the eggs and sprayed them with H2O2, I used the Incubator that I hoped turner design would work best for shipped eggs. In addition to the machine’s temp/hum monitor we had two other temp/hum in it and a third temp monitor. Anyway we will try again on the Svart Hona. The Ayam Cemani we hatched are doing well, one is bantam sized. We really are interested in seeing how same or different these two breeds are. Also cross breeding with Phoenix is something we will probably do.
