Thanks Oz,

For the info on dehumidifiers. I'll go online and try to find one to order and let my brother or sister send it to me.

Yes we definitely need some rain. It has rained once in CdO since Feb. 9 when I got back here. And that was
only for about 30 minutes. At least with what I have done so far I am prepared for the rainy season.

Great day to all.

The pictures above are what things looked like when I got back to Cagayan de Oro.
UniTop purchased property next to us and filled in about 5 feet of dirt and flooded out
most of the surrounding property. There was a concrete pipe going under the road for
drainage of the area. But, they covered it completely with no objection from the government.
When it rains it is very bad for some of the residents in the area. My area was the least
affected. Very wet but manageable.

Below are the pictures of the beginning of my improvements. Which involved building a
small retaining wall for the chicken coop area about 24 inches tall and filling it with sand to
solve the problem. I have now almost completed the coop. I will post pics of it in a day or
two. Once the coop is completed I will get some Australorps and RIR's from Oz and start
my chickens all over again. I would like to find a couple of Kabir hens and put with the Australorps
for a year and then with the RIR's for a year. And see what the results of the crosses will be.
If they look good I will take the two crosses and breed them together and go from there.

Hope everyone is enjoying the El Nino weather pattern we are under. Everyone have a
great day.

Jimmy

Good luck Jimmy

Progress is being made. I now have the fence up and part of the coop. need to complete the back wall, roost, nesting boxes, and a gate between the two sections for the two breeds I will have. Then I will build two feeders of my own design. And then, I'M DONE!!!!!! Everyone have a great day.
