phobias!!!

I had brain surgery nearly 3 years ago, and have developed phobias since then. I am afraid of heights, even on tv, and afraid of tall things, like a tall building, or, when we used to go to the Gulf, we would drive by the USS Alabama. I can't even look at it now, it makes me sick at my stomach. Just the size of it. And I used to be a competitive swimmer. I have been swimming, and thought I was drowning over the deep end. I can't go swimming any more now.

I'm afraid of spiders...to an extreme. I freeze up when I see them and shout if I can.
I'm certain they will consume me!
Boyfriend loves bugs...he's always rescuing them and taking them outside. They can live outside all they want. I don't want them in the house!
I'm terribly afraid of the size of the universe and the idea of "God"
I've studied religions and everything...but when I really get into thinking about where such a thing came from and why this and why that, I send myself into a bad place.
So! Enough about that!

I have a friend who is afraid that (when driving up hill) the car will just let go of the road and perform a series of flips until it reaches the bottom of the hill.

I always think airplanes are going to fall out of the sky, they don't look like they should be able to stay in the air. Things that are in the air, they should have to flap. If planes flapped their wings, I might feel better about this.
>_<

My Dad is afraid of anything that flies. Adorable birds, adorable bats, bugs, whatever! It's all bad! He starts flailing around and shouting. It's comical.

I'm afraid of being alone.

A friend of mine has a terrible fear of bears and she's never even seen one!

Leeches. OH Lord please don't get me started. I hate leaches, and being in murky water. I have no problem with creepy crawlies, but I can't stand those leaches. If you have ever seen the new king kong, they fall into a big pit, and giant worms eat them. I imagine leeches looking like that, and attacking me.

Social situations. I've gotten much, much better, but social anxiety/phobia is something that you deal with throughout life. But clowns sounds cooler. Darnit. I should have picked clowns.

Fuzzie, have you talked to anyone about this? Changes to the brain can sometimes be lessened through various methods, and there are so many possible changes that can occur with surgery.

Fears, I have many. But phobias... only one. Clowns.
