Ok. Great point! On centering it sounds pretty good too, but maybe not perfectly center. Like just off the center spot to give a cool effect? How does that sound? Thanks! :D
Absolutely! In photography creativity is the best part. When I am photographing an animal walking, I always off center the image to allow room to see where the animal is going. 😉 The same instance with the blue jeep. By keeping it off to the left, you allow the viewer to see where the jeep is headed. IMHO

That's awesome! Have you ever read the Tips part in the BYC Contests? In the second tip somewhere, the person actually says to do that. And doesn't it just make the picture look so much better that way!

I'd clean the background for starters. Anything that's unnatural should be removed. For something quick and easy, just have him go forward a bit and move your position to remove a lot of the fencing and other things in the background. Then go lower to add distance to your background and to make your rooster look more elegant.
Thank you for the tips. And I agree about the background it’s just easier said than done with this guy😅 I’m afraid I chose to keep him because I figured nothing could ever catch him. Including me:lau

Yep! Ok, here's what I sometimes do: Clean up any area that could possibly get into your background. Then when you go to take pictures, you don't have to worry about moving anyone or anything to get the picture you're looking for. ;)
Then there's always patience. Just wait for the bird to go where you want them to go, or if all else fails, throw some mealworms to the spot you want them to be.

I didn’t even realize that :th

The part I don’t like is that behind the chick in the grass on the left of his head is just a piece of horizontal grass blurred that really stands out. It bothers me lol. Now y’all are gonna see it every time you look at it 🤣😭
I saw that too. But I thought it probably wouldn't bother anyone else. LOL.
I actually couldn't take my eye off it as soon as I saw it.

I’ll throw a pic in here. This is my youngest BR rooster and a PITA to photograph.View attachment 3158113
PITA. Reminds me of what the HS teachers would call me.
😭
Not sure if the black pole is something you could get out of the picture, but I personally don't think it should be in the photo.
The sun rays in the back avert focus from the BR rooster, so maybe find a better time of day to take a photo of him, where the lighting is stable throughout the picture.

No, I haven't read the 'tips'. I am fairly new to the BYCs. I will check that out, thanks!
