Yeah, I am only going to keep less then 12 hens. Maybe only 8-9. I will try and find homes for the rest. They are great looking birds so far. I can't wait to see how they feather out.

The last batch I got from Backwoods Poultry were fantastic and I hope that the ones that hatched from them come out just as nice. The problem the last time was that they were all roosters...... I'm hoping for some hens this time. Can you imagine if they all turned out to be roosters...... That would be just my luck

I hope they turn out great!! Some of them have specks of color on them. I'm not sure what that will feather out like....

Some of them are fantastic. One BLR Wyandotte has the darkest richest colors even in the fuzzy stage. The Wheaten Ameracaunas look fantastic as well but then there are the Marans......

Maybe I could take two off your hands.... the BC Marans and one more. Is a 4 x 8 coop (including a 4x4 roost) big enough for five chickens? They do get to free-range for a little while when I get home from work.

I'm sure I will have extras of the BC Marans. My coop is 6 ft by 15 ft.

I would have been happy to let you have any extras.... Joseph is a fun little guy but I'm biased.

No chance of that. I can't have any roosters and I don't have the property for it.....

38 chicks sure do poop more then the 7-8 I have had before.....

Derrick, what an Awesome hatch! Those chicks are sooooo cute. You must such awesome will power to be able to get rid of most of them. I would not be able to. And your little boy is such a doll.
