Hey Yogi, the pups are doing great. They got their very first color coded collars. hehe They are so cute and growing so nicely. Bella is being a great mom. I'm so happy to hear about the buff orps..sorry about the pullet eggs (most people wouldn't complain about that LOL).
Thanks HenMama! He really does have some good looks going for him.
Dilly, They are black orps...you will see the offspring(black/lavenders) hen pics when grown..
the head shots is about all your gonna see of the black orp hens that are with Lester... Not Our birds to display...Sorry,
They will soon be going back to there owner along with a couple split black/lavender cockerels from the breedings, that was the deal for the use of his birds...
Lester and Lucas kind of brothers more or less..they are not the same age, Lester is older than Lucas..
Well did someone question the breed of the mommies? I must of missed that post. It sure wasn't me.
Ya Know Charlie I have yet to meet a hen that was camera shy. But hey, if the owners do not want their ladies displayed on the net, by all means don't. In fact you may want to edit those head shots, they may just be recognized.
Even though I cannot imagine a pic of a black orp hen being confused, identified or tracked back to the owner.
Charlie, regardless of what you might think, no one is trying to steal your little secrets. In fact, if you do not want people to inquire or remark about this, why post pictures to begin with. You make more of this than there is. Please do not assume. I was being friendly and playful, funny even. relax.
That makes sense as Lucas looks very much like a cockerel still. Cute little fellow though.
Now play nice Charlie.... Kiss kiss to you and Jody.
Dilly, I feel it is rude and inconsiderate to display pics of other people's birds. That's just my way. I actually considered cutting the heads shots, but since there seemed to be questioning around if the hens even existed, I left it.
I feel we have been very generous in sharing this project and if I would have known it would come with such scrutiny and questioning I would have kept it to myself. I think I will do that moving forward.
Most breeders won't even share a project of this magnitude with others until it is complete. I thought it would be nice for folks to know what we're working on and future opportunities.
