I just found this pic of my hen that passed away last winter, this is her as a chick. The pic was posted 8 years ago, so she was not quite 8 when she passed.

She came from the pink-purple egg, but her dad had the green egg and a frizzle gene.

She laid a shine-y gray egg.

I have 2 of her babies left. ONe smooth, one frizzle, from a BCM rooster. They are black, but I am going to breed them with a LO/EE rooster, so I hope the color will come back. (I know about the blue breed color chart, but I can hope.) I will love any of their chicks, but I love my avatar's color.

She was an adorable baby, and gorgeous as an adult. I used to have one that laid gray eggs. They are so striking.

I am down to one of her babies now, a frizzle. I will have to breed her eventually she is 3. Her mom had her when she was 6, so there is hope.
