(PICS@POST #1)Starting a dozen eggs Sunday, Oct 2...any joiners?

Lockdown today all my eggies are put to bed in the incubator so they can start getting ready to hatch. Temp is still a little low at 95.4 because I had to take the lid off to get them in there, it hasn't even been an hour yet since I locked them down. Humidity is at 59 and rising. I put up a divider in the middle to separate the dellys from the Comets so I can put them in separate brooders. We will see how well that works. So far other tries at separating haven't worked so well. Hoping this time goes better. Not sure what the Comets will look like so I want to make sure I don't mix them up and put them in the Delly pen by mistake.

Hopefully everyone's hatches are going well. Can't wait until mine get started.

I just put mine in lockdown too, LilyD.

Day 18.

Yes, it has been slow in regards to hatching. But, when I look at all the other things I should have been doing, I wonder "Where did the time go?". I am behind on everything else. This is my first hatch. So, I have spent a lot of time on BYC learning and making sure that I am doing it right. I started with 15 shipped eggs. I just put my 7 troopers in lockdown. They look great to me. One has a slightly smaller air cell than the others. But, I have faith in him/her. The humidity is holding at 63% and you bet the temp in the wiggler is at 99.5°. At day 13, I realized that the humidity wasn't where it should be. But, I have now learned from my mistakes. I could go on. But, you all have had your learning curves. I say this, incubating is not hard, but, it's not as easy as most think.

Here's to everyone having 100% hatch rate on the remaining viable eggs.

My first time uploading pictures, hope that works! My two chicks, I'm not holding out much hope for the third egg, as it looked like it stopped developing sometime between days 10 and 18 when I last candled before putting them into lockdown. But I am happy that these two are healthy and chirping!!

First hatch was a success as far as I am concerned!!

Thanks! I am just in love! It amazes me how they can grow like that in just three weeks.
Good luck to everyone on lockdown! Can't wait to hear of everyone else's hatches!!

My four remaining eggs go into lock down tomorrow. I think my air cells are too big so I really have my fingers crossed. I didn't see any movement yesterday. I'll candle again when I take the turning disc out tomorrow. I just can't help myself. And I am also so far behind on every thing else because I have spent so much time on BYC searching and learning.
