Sorry to hear about the egg you had to toss... but it's exciting that the rest of your eggs are doing so great!

My 3 remaining BCM eggs are going into lockdown tomorrow and seem to be doing really well, I can hardly see anything as they have grown so big, but the air cells are looking good, so I am pretty happy about that.

In other news, I just got my Sizzle eggs today!

They are currently resting on the counter after their trip. I'm thinking tomorrow they will go in the incubator and I'll get to start this exciting process all over again! Now the big project will be building them their own coop away from my big "kids," my husband can get me all sorts of free pallets from his workplace, and my friend said I could rip some siding off of her old red barn. So I'm hoping to get it done as cheaply as possible, hopefully just nails, insulation, and paint.

Glad to hear of everyones progress, keep us all updated! (edited to correct spelling error.)

Day 15 here. It's been 42 hours since my last candling. I just looked at my 8 eggs again and I'm pretty sure that I have one quitter. 6 are moving well. Then there is one that is really dark. I didn't see it move, but, it may be more developed than the others. All were moving 42 hours ago. Should I be worried about the possible quitter exploding at this point? There is shadowing, but it seems to be kind of settled. I don't see any veining in it, like with the others. Should I remove it or give it a little time? I am a beginner.

Has anyone had an explosion? If so, on what day of incubation and how many days after signs of life in the egg?

I had put some blue copper marans that I had ordered (first time incubating shipped eggs) in the incubator on October 2 along with some of my own ee eggs. It's a little late but I thought I'd join too

Is spamming allowed?

This is edited. I'm new. I just reported the suspect.

Well, it was deleted before I finished reporting. I wasn't aware this stuff happened here. I'm glad the administrator deleted it. I hate spam.

Phantom Rooster, if you can tell for sure there is no veining in that egg, then it has most likely quit on you. If the shell is dark or quite thick it will be harder to tell. I wouldnt take the chance of it exploding in the bator---very very messy. Candle it again looking closely. Good luck.

So far I'm doing really good containing my excitement, it helps when you have a busy day too.

Also, egg number two has pipped! I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight... I'll be too busy stalking the incubator!
