I added a modified LG egg turner a few days ago. It made a difference on my temp adjustment. The turner motor gets a little hot. Plus, the eggs are raised quite a bit more. I have a dial temp adjustment. I turned it down about 2° to compensate. I am able to keep the wiggler temp between 99° and 100°. Our outdoor temps have been 90° during the day and 40-50° at night. I'm having to keep a close eye on the room temp. I've got a cool front coming Tuesday. I hope the rest of you are doing well. 20th is my lockdown.

Oh I understand entirely!

Mine are due to hatch on Friday. And I have another order of eggs coming in today hopefully.

And then another in a week or so. Haha.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences with us! I have enjoyed following your posts. Several of us are nearly at hatch-day.

This is day 15 for me. I REALLY want to candle, but am trying to resist. I candled on day 10 and they were doing great. Trying to wait til lockdown before handling them again. 3 more days...

have only 3 that are viable.

Well I ended up with 2 but the lovely silkie eggs that I got at the auction from CJ look really strong even though I just set them on the 14! The box they came in was totally crushed even though it had FRAGILE written all over it AND was delivered to the wrong place the day before!!! Cj packed them so wonderfully not one egg was broken and they look like I might actually get a few

Well, I candled anyway...had to toss another Silkie egg

It was ok on day 10, don't know what went wrong there.

Also had to toss the 2 EE eggs I added late. They weren't fertile. The good news is I have 6 Silkie and 3 EE eggs that are looking great!

I see movement in all the Silkie eggs. The EEs are thicker shelled, but going by my previous hatches they are right on. The Silkies have me on pins and needles, tho. I have tried hatching Silkies twice before. And both times everything went great (I thought) but the died during lockdown, not even attempting to pip. I think my humidity may have been too high and they drowned.

This time I have been extremely careful. Have opened bator only 4 times. 3 candlings and once to add water when humidity dropped to 25%. Except that one time humidity has been 35-45% and temp 99-100°F. Going to try for 65% humidity during lockdown. Sure hope I get it right this time.
