I must have really weird chickens. They free range all day, but they go through a ton of food. If their food runs out, they sit at the back door (all glass) and beg for more. They eat about 4 cups of feed each day between 12 chickens, on top of all the bugs and grass they want. I have to refill the feeder about every 4 days.
