Dear lord, they look as though they haven't eaten in weeks!

I turned my main flock out to starve about an hour ago.

Starving them I say! They look soooo thin!
When I first put them outside they would come and eat a few times a day but they totally prefer grass and bugs. They got a hold of a field mouse the other day. I didn't let them eat it wasn't sure if I should. It was fun to watch them trying to figure out what it was though.

Beautiful! Mine do the same thing & most of their Food gets washed away by rain or eaten by the crows. Except in the winter like you say, then the feed bags empty out pretty darn quick.
