What a pretty bird!We have several generations of red-shouldered hawks on our acreage and about three crows. The juvenile hawk will sit the fence watching our chicken tractor. I have videos, he's so "tame" (see below).
While free ranging my flock under supervision, sometimes the crows will come around and the hawk disappears. My husband hates the crows, since the neighbor feeds them. But I'm a fan of the "murder" because they may prevent the murder of my hens.

Meet Count Tell. My best layer who likes to crow sometimes and she prefers to sleep on top of the run. Count Tell is a Naine de Tournoise (From the South of Belgium) but her colouring is too white and not a good for this breed.
