Voila! My three little backyard chicken babies! They are 26ish weeks.

(Middle) Dwayne is my GLW. She is my first laying chicken... ever! She is my quietest chicken and absolutely hates to be held.

My EE is on the left, leaving my australorp, on the right. Their names will be Thing 1 and Thing 2 because they are practically inseparable! The first one to lay will be Thing 1 (my money has been on my EE but lately, I'm not so sure). Oh, they love stretching their necks out and headbutting eachother like tiny dinosaurs...it's kind of adorable.

My EE is the most personality packed chicken, such a character! She's the only one I can actually hold.

The Australorp has always been a little explorer. She has flown across the fence once before and I'm fairly certain it won't be her last time.

Dingbat with one of her chicks that hatched out 2 weeks ago. I want to get a picture of one of them on her back. I just love when they peek out from under mama and sit on her back. So neat to see this interaction with mama and babies.

Chickens have lots of different colors of feet. Slate gray, black, tan, off white. Mine have green legs. REALLY green legs and green beaks. I just mowed their yard and WOW! They're having a blast chase the bugs now in the freshly mowed lawn. Green feet and beaks and all!
