This guy showed up today in my backyard trying to get into my brooder coop with my bantam chicks. I'm pretty sure he is a pigeon of some sort. He can fly about as good as a bantam. Kind of robust and clumbsy. I was able to apprehend him and have him in a cage. He seems to be pleased to be a captive, eating scratch grains, and drinking

He has a green legband on one leg. Any suggestions. ?

If it is a numbered leg band you should be able to find the owner through some of the Pigeon Associations. If not there is always lost and found on Cragslist or something similar. Good luck! He seems to like your home if all else fails. I may have happened for a reason who knows.

He is not an average pigeon. What is he. It may be a she for all I know. I've looked at a few hatchery sites to determine the breed but without much luck.
