Pigeon Talk

Weighed Bugsy again this morning. Over the 200 gram mark!

And I now understand why we call them ‘squeakers’ :lau

I definitely think chunk would have been more appropriate!:lol:
Have you put a bath out for them yet? Mine had one today, I had to get a bigger tub for them, all of them were in a sink bowl at the same time!
@biophiliac it sounds hopeful for doba. I hope that given a bit more time she will gain some if not all flight. :fl
Glad everyone has had a good holiday. Its just the weird time between Christmas and New year now! :hmm

Chunk. You may be right on that one! :gig

I have a bowl of water in the run.... ok, I guess I should say 'aviary' and get out of chicken mode. lol Its a dog food bowl, exactly like the nest bowl, so not huge. I dump and replace the water when it gets dirty. They use it whenever they want. Some days it stays perfectly clean, so I know they don't use it daily, but I leave it out all the time. Maybe I shouldn't do that? The water is 1"-3" deep, depending on how much they splash out before I refill it. I should probably take it out until Bugsy is older, huh?

So long as Bugsy can get out I should think its fine. I only put mine a bowl in and remove it because I don't have the space to leave it in.
My new pigeons are here! Just got the call, now I'm off to pick them up.
:woot Go gettam! :ya

I would think she could get out, but it is kinda slick on the bottom. I’ll either find something to help (rocks or some kind of lining) or just remove it for a while.

You could do that. If you want, just put it in every couple of days whilst your doing jobs around the coops and loft and just take it out when your done. Mine are in it before it's even on the floor! 15 mins and there all out shaking themselves off!

I'm back! The pigeons are doing great, I have them settling in now.

I'd decided to pop them in with my pigeon who is still a bit twisted. I was mildly worried they would pick on him though so I stayed to watch. Nope, he started going after them! I've got them split up for now.
