That first one is so cool, you captured all 8 in one! After my homers, I'm developing a real attraction to the satinettes! Keep the pixs coming so I can enjoy yours instead of needing my own! They don’t seem to mind the zero degrees nearly as much as I mind it.

And lookie back there in the nest bowl..... I should probably take it until I see another one? Unless she stays on it today, it will freeze. It’s only 3F now, our high today is 18F

I'm gonna try to get good pictures of them tomorrow and see if you guys can tell me what you think gender-wise. It's just hard because they're pretty flighty, so I don't know if they'll really hold still for me.

I was tempted to send these for DNA testing. If these eggs aren’t fertile, I still might have to, since I could still have 2 girls.
But I’m 99% sure that my red is male. Attitude.
Now I need to watch who is covering the nest during what times.
If you have 2 girls, you are likely to get 4 eggs.could still have 2 girls.

I think I might splash out for it, just so I can actually know, lol. It's just that the silver who is supposed to be a hen has A LOT of attitude.
I’m still trying to tell for sure on the new group too, and may end up doing DNA in the spring, if they haven’t paired up by then, or if I still can’t tell.
The warmer seems to be doing great.
