Im not positive on what it would be, but do you have vet rx? That is a helpful medicine and since its all natural its pretty safe to use incase of overdose. I try to do acv in water once a week and vet rx in water once a week. Sorry about your bird. What type? Garlic is another thing good for water.

One of my birds recently died with not much warning. When I found it there was discharge around the eyes and around the vent the feathers were bound together by poop, it almost looked like a log. The bird had been slightly poofed up the past 2 days but since it's getting colder I ignored it. It's appetite was very good. Another thing about it was that its ceres were unusually large, but not by much. Any ideas to what that could be?

Don't mind the poop, I cleaned it up after the picture, lol.

When I first walked out to check on him this time, he actually had his head straight and up for a bit. And I hadn't given him any medicine yet. I gave him his first doses of meloxicam and enrofloxacin tonight.

Oh Im soo glad he's comin around! Hope he continues!

How is your PMV patient @Pyxis ?

I stumbled on this vid that shows basic nursing for PMV. I'm sure the advice is not new to you but I enjoyed seeing actual pmv birds being cared for.
