Pigeon Talk

I went back out to look if anyone returned yet and caught this guy as he came barreling down out of the air and into the loft.
He seems happy to be back with his mate, and despite hitting the fence earlier she seems to have perked up a lot with him being back. Still 1 missing but I'm optimistic he'll be back considering he flew far off into the sky to escape and that he wasn't chased unlike his father.
Yay!:yesss:

I'm basically surrounded on all sides by dense foliage. The hawks tend to lurk in the woods to the left of the loft but I've seen them come from all directions, behind the fence slopes steeply down into the woods and they like to come from behind it to ambush. I've also seen them fly up and over the house to ambush them when they're on the loft.
The front yard is basically the same as the back but with even more trees. View the pictures as the first being the left side, second the center, and last the right side.
Your birds definitely have a steep uphill climb trying to escape a predator that has downward speed already.:he

Beautiful :love

Is this the only offspring at this time,, or there is a brother/sister as well.
Sometimes I loose track of the new additions. My spreadsheet program expired:hit:gig

Hawk attacks and love triangles. :barnie

CCUK that’s a beautiful bird!! :love

BP, great job on the toss basket, I doubt any of my sons could make something that nice! You should be proud.

Ok, I just opened the gate to let the birds over into the duck pen. Took a little video if ya wanna see. They immediately want out as soon as I step away far enough.

That's an awesome avairy/flight pen. They have so much space and are very well protected.

I just got a picture of ash's youngster. It's a lot less red then Ash but has a lovely pattern over its back and has barring starting to come through.

The lighting in my living room isn't that good.
it's beautiful! I like it! What is the father like?

That would be handy for giving vaccinations too.
yes it would. And best of all, it's really cheap! :D

thanks! I just took them on a second toss. They did great! Probably 100 yards now. I thought I lost two, and after 5 minutes of whistling, I looked in and they beat me back from my walk back! :yesss:I

Your sats look like they like it in there! In a few weeks, they might start circling it, and flying more. I saw them stretching early on, so they might be getting ready to really fly!
