Pigeon Talk

I used to buy 20 pound bags for $20 at Menards. This was to feed my squirrels. It is marketed as Wild Bird Food. The squirrels did eat it, but not as intensely, as eating BOSS. I get 50 pounds of that for $20. My squirrels do backflips over that:gig
So down here at the cave this is the purpose of peanuts.

Haha Thanks cave man. I learned from the best! ;)

Alright guys... I got all-in-one, did the recommended dosage, for the recommended time, and nothing happened. The birds are still sick. I only have two that are really sick, the rest, well, aren't too bad. But I'm wondering what's wrong with them. There dropping are just not good. All the birds got treated. But here is what there droppings are like.

Wet, watery, and brown. This is for all my birds, the really sick ones even more so. The really sick ones aren't eating or drinking much, so are just losing weight. Should I force feed peas? I am at a loss. I just noticed today that my sick roller is having a build up of droppings. The poor fella is too far gone, but I'll still try to nurse him back to health.

I had to lift him there. He can't fly. Any help is needed. I just am at a total loss. It a probably something obvious, I just don't now a ton about sickness.

I'm really sorry about your troubles with the flock. I wish I knew what to advise.:hugs I did find a new you tuber who has a series of vids on pigeon health. Sample on on canker ....
Remind us - What does that 4 in 1 treat? Not all are the same...

@backyard pigeons I would try to get a sample of the poop to a vet for analysis by laying down something to catch some fresh overnite without it mixing into the bedding. You don't need to test each one since most are ill, just get a good mix of the flock's poop.
Thanks bio, I have actually watched that series on pigeon health. I just got back from TSC and got a bunch of meds, vitimans, electrolytes, probiotics, recommended by a local pigeon fancier. The vet is a good idea, I just don't want to spend that sort of money... do you know around what they charge for that?

Just for a fecal exam is not too much here in WI, less than $20 if I remember right. That way you could rule out worms and coccidia at least.

Update! Wallace got his glight suite today and tried it on for around 10 minutes. He thinks its heavy and a bit irritating, but I think he's just happy to be out of the cage as I didnt want to risk him free flying in our house whith our dogs running about simultaneously what a handsome boy no?! Note: ive been questioning this for a few months but I quite adore the owls and short faces but where are all the Figurita breeders?! Id like to get Wallace a wife at some point and I'll settle for a tumbler or owl but id like another Figurita if possible :) if anyone knows a breeder hook me up!!
